Leviticus 1:9b (NKJV)

“And the priest shall burn all on the altar as a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.”

Ephesians 5:2 (NKJV)

“And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”

2 Corinthians 2:15 (NIV)

“For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.”

Throughout Scripture, the image of a beautiful aroma rises as a symbol of devotion and love. Christ’s sacrifice was a fragrant offering to God — and because we are in Christ, our lives, too, become a pleasing aroma before the Lord.

If you belong to Him, you are a beautiful fragrance — a reflection of His love to God and to others.
