How it all started...
In 2001, Pastor Dan was working on various church plants in the Hampton Roads area, and he had a vision one night about a church plant in Currituck. Later that year, he was contacted by New Life of Great Bridge in Chesapeake, VA (now known as The Bridge Christian Fellowship) about the possibility of helping plant a church in Currituck, North Carolina.
On Sunday, March 17, 2002, in a small upstairs room, a group of eight people met, and the vision of New Life of Currituck was born. Together, there was a vision of lives being transformed by the power of God’s Holy Spirit through life-giving relationships, intimate worship, fervent prayer, and the equipping of people for ministry. On October 5, 2003, we launched our first public service.

Expanding the vision...
In the early days of our church, we were meeting in the middle school auditorium and a local shopping center. Then God provided for the church a piece of property in Barco, NC, near the center of our county. We were blessed to build a building while continuing to establish a presence in the county through different ministries. We were serving with a National Day of Prayer event, supporting the middle and high school, Operation Christmas Child, and other local non-profit organizations.
God brought us a second building in Point Harbor, and we started a secondary non-profit called Currituck Resource Center in 2014 to expand our outreach into the community through coaching, mentoring, and counseling. Our mission is to bring help, healing, and hope in the toughest of times.

Where we are headed...
Today, our hearts are still desiring to see lives transformed by the power of God’s Holy Spirit, and we believe we are only just beginning! As we grow in numbers and grow spiritually, we sense a greater need for hope in the community in which we live, and we desire to reach that need by God's power. We would love for you to join us in this mission!
Be a part of our story...
Are you looking for a group of people that still care about each other and the world around them? If so, then we would love to meet you and grow together. We look forward to meeting you and to accomplish more Kingdom work than what we could do by ourselves.
