Every Sunday, we provide a safe place where children can come learn about Jesus in ways that they can relate to at their age level.  

Our children's ministries have incredible leaders and volunteers that create a warm, loving, and friendly environment where children can feel welcome and see the love of Jesus around them.  We are always looking for volunteers, so if you're interested, we'd love to talk with you!

Our children's ministries are in class groups by grade, similar to school.  This enables our children to be with others who are likely going through the same stages of growth and maturity and dealing with the same issues as those they are with.  These real-life experiences often make great Biblical lessons that children can relate to their everyday lives.

I am filled with joy every time I see our Children’s Ministry Teams sharing the good news of the Gospel with children.  There is a sense of excitement in the air, and the children love coming to our children's services.  It is our desire here at New Life of Currituck for every person we meet, both young and old, to come to know Jesus personally.  You see, it’s through that relationship with the Savior that we can truly experience peace and joy in our lives.  I hope you will consider visiting with us.  I look forward to meeting you and your family, and I pray you will be blessed and encouraged.

Children are such a blessing!  As followers of Christ, it is our duty to relay the love of God to our children.

Here in the nursery at New Life, we strive to make every child feel safe and loved.  We encourage playtime, sharing, story time, and even dance time!

We have a wonderful team of volunteers!  Ms. Becky, Ms., Cindy, Ms., Chelsea, and Ms. Rachel are always ready to greet you and your child with a smile on Sunday mornings!

In Matthew 19, we see the love that Jesus has for little children.  Jesus blessed the little children, and we create an atmosphere where they can feel welcomed, loved, and have a great time while learning about Jesus!

Hiz Kids & Jesus ministry is not Sunday School!  It's a Biblical adventure filled with music, puppet skits, activities, challenges, rewards, and more!  

No desks in Hiz Kids!  They are taught the Word of God using an established, outstanding Bible-based children's curriculum.  

Our ministry team includes; Sister Imma Vine, Professor Hizway, Sally Brave Heart, Mrs. Connie, and others who create an atmosphere where your child will feel welcomed, loved, and will have a wonderful time learning about Jesus.  

It is our prayer that as the children come and learn about Him, they would leave with the blessings of the Lord.

Our mission in Youth Group at New Life of Currituck is simple:  Love God and Love Each Other.  God states multiple times in the Bible that the greatest thing we can do in life is to love.  Love God.  Love Each Other.  Love our Parents.  Love our teachers.  Love our enemies.  We believe that above all, we should love each other in spite of our sins.  

At New Life, we strive to create a loving atmosphere where our youth kids from 6th grade through 12th grade
can have a safe space to discuss, encourage, and help each other in our walk with Christ.  Being a
Christian and a teen is tough.  There are constantly outside influences that try to encourage students to step
away from God, but our goal is to show our youth that the light of Jesus and God's unconditional love wins every time.

We believe that our Youth Group age students benefit from corporate worship here at New Life, so we sit together with the church body and worship together!  Some of our youth group even serve on the worship and media teams!  After worship and before the sermon begins, we are dismissed to the youth room for our own lessons.   Each week, we discuss topics that are relevant to today’s culture and try to figure out how to be a
Christian and a young adult at the same time.  We would love to have you come visit us sometime on
Sunday morning!
