Thought – Faith among failure
If we were living a day like this, we would say we had a good day gone bad. Jesus takes this day to bring the old covenant into full view and translate it into the new covenant by sharing communion with the disciples. Things go downhill from there. Peter says he will not leave Jesus, but he does later. Judas completes the plan of betrayal. Peter, James, and John cannot stay awake to pray, and the false trial of Jesus begins.
Have you ever felt all alone, like no one understands or cares?
God is the only one who will never leave you or forsake you. When all those around Jesus left, He did not abort the plan God had in motion, so you and I could have peace with God. Whatever struggle or challenge you find yourself in today, seek the wisdom, council, and correction from a loving God who did not give up on you. If a friend or loved one is going through a tough time, don’t give up on them. Failure in life brings about an opportunity for Jesus to speak faith into your life.
Don’t deny Jesus today, but give Him praise for all He has done for you.

Ezekiel 33:12 (NAS)
"And you, son of man, say to your fellow citizens, 'The righteousness of a righteous man will not deliver him in the day of his transgression, and as for the wickedness of the wicked, he will not stumble because of it in the day when he turns from his wickedness; whereas a righteous man will not be able to live by his righteousness on the day when he commits sin.'
