Day 5 (1-20-17) Love through service part 1

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Thought: Unconditional love has no coercion or manipulation attached to it.

Have I ever done something for Jesus, that I did not want to do? The answer to that is yes, but please keep reading. I cannot think of a time that I have done something like that, in which I did not realize that Jesus asked me to do it for my own good. Why is that? I am glad you asked. Though all those times, I have learned and come to understand a deeper part of Jesus’ unconditional love. I challenge you today to be a radical love of God thinker. Jesus Christ has a plan and purpose for your life to glorify Him in the world around you. To understand and prepare for this purpose we must exercise for that. Start Spiritual exercise this year, so you can compete in the race of life. Learn what a true love relationship with Jesus Christ is through worship, seek a mentor who can encourage you in this journey. Then pray and seek to encourage others. I encourage you to start NOW.
